Bodegas y Viñedos Tábula was created in 2002 with the goal of producing state grown wines that pay careful respect to the fruit and the terroir. Their intial property is a 22 hectare (55 acre) estate situated between Olivares and Valbuena de Duero, in Valladolid province. In 2010 Tabula acquired La Morejona, a 2 hectare (5 acre) vineyard with 60+ year old vines. In addition they control 20 hectares (50 acres) planted with 30 to 50 year old vines.

Grape Varieties: Tempranillo from 30+ year old vineyard
Production: 25.500 Bottles.
Soils: Limestone.
Wine Making: Manual harvest using refrigerated trucks to bring the fruit to the winery. At arrival the bunches are sorted, de-stemmed and the berries sorted on a second sorting table. A cold soak of 4 days. Alcoholic fermentation in French oak vats. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels.
Aging: 16 months in 100% French oak barrel.
Tasting Notes: Deep, cherry-red color. Ripe black raspberry and licorice on the nose. Spicy red and dark berry flavors with a hint of smoke with soft tannins and a touch of bitter chocolate.
