From the Winemaker: Hesperian started in 2004 when I fell in love with a beautiful small vineyard in Cooombsville. In 2006 the project morphed into making small lots of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wines in order to show very clearly the differences between terroirs. The focus on small lots of terroir-driven Cabernet Sauvignons continued until 2010. Over the years I made wines from Coombsville, Spring Mountain, Rutherford, Mount Veeder, Howell Mountain and various other parts of the Napa Valley. Alc: 14.4% Aging: French Oak; 60% new, 40% once or twice used. 19 months in barrel. Racked once. Unfined. Unfiltered. Vineyard Blend: 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc Vineyards: 65.6% Hagen Vineyard, Coombsville; 34.4% Paul's Vineyard, Napa
