Harvested by hand on April 23, 2013 and sourced from a single vineyard 3,000 ft. above sea level. The average yield per acre was less than 2 tons. 100% Malbec. Primary fermentation was performed in a small tank. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, a combination of new and second-use for 19 months. "Plum and blackberry aromas dominate a fruit-forward nose with palpable oak and toast. This is rock-solid and firm on the palate. Ripe flavors of baked black fruits are darkened by toast and chocolate notes. On the finish, this tastes of fig and peppery spice. Drink through 2023." - M.S., Wine Enthusiast
