A showcase wine that will remain legendary for many years to come. Tasting notes Raspberry and blackberry puree, singed herbs mixed with blood orange and spring flowers. Swirling brings up fruits like black currant, plum with a hint of blueberry and a note of strawberry jam and smoke. The palate has great volume with flawless texture, sweet ripe fruits and a mouthwatering mixture of sweet and savory as it finishes. Production notes Sourced from Lawrence Vineyards, harvested throughout October 2014. Block 9 Grenache Tablas Creek, & Cl. 3, Block 3 Syrah Joseph Phelps (30%), Block 4 Syrah Tablas Creek (15%) and Sara Lee (22%), Viognier Cl. 1 Corfu Crossing. Fermented in 65% concrete and 35% stainless steel tanks. Aged in 20% new French oak 500L’s for 12 months and then blended and transferred into a 70HL round vat for an additional 7 months. Other notes Inspired by the Vaucluse department in the south of France, this Rhone blend is harvested from the fertile soils of our estate vineyard near Royal City in the Columbia Valley. Our Vaucluse is a reflection of the finest wines of the namesake region, located due east of France's Gard department. Within the Vaucluse lies Mondragon, a small village bearing the surname of our esteemed vineyard manager, Isidro Mondragon.
