This ethereal Red Blend combines bold, mountainside structure with refined finesse, purity, and sophistication. Intense dense aromas of bright bing cherry, jammy brambleberry and blueberry, vanilla, rose water, and perfume are beautifully intertwined with rich mocha, earthy truffles, delicate minerality, seared leather, and butterscotch on the palate. With brilliant acidity, silky tannins, and balanced structure, we experience luxurious elegance fit for a king. Our foundation merlot is sourced from our Rockwell Ridge Estate mountainside vineyard located at a high elevation of 1365 ft on the slopes of Howell Mountain. On this steep rugged terrain overlooking the Napa Valley, these mature 23-year old vines grow in thin tuffaceous volcanic soil, expressing the richness, complexity, and character from this unique terroir. By blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot sourced from premium vineyards on Pritchard Hill, Howell Mountain, and Atlas Peak, we have taken a Right Bank Bordeaux stylistic approach and created a concentrated, structured, and balanced blend which satisfies the senses with its purity, depth, and finesse.
