At the heart of the Coteaux du Layon, Chateau de la Viaudière is a mansion from the XVI century and part of the family estate ever since. The Gélineau family have been winegrowers for generations and Pierre-Antoine Giovannoni took over from his father-in-law Olivier Gélineau in 2000, joined by his wife Agnès in 2012. Carrying on the good work by combining traditional methods with modern technology, Pierre-Antoine is an enthusiastic winemaker and oenologist always looking for ways to make better, higher quality wines, whilst respecting biodiversity. Chateau de la Viaudière vineyard is now in its 3rd year of Bio conversion. Hand picked grapes, this Sauvignon has generous and flattering nature which releases flavours of litchi, pineapple and white peaches with aftertaste of liquorice and violets.
