The 2017 Franny Beck Willamette Valley Rose of Pinot Noir is our first offereing of rose and we feel we knocked it out of the park! The fruit was sourced from a single source,Terra Bella Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. The vineyard is organically farmed. We sorted and destemmed the fruit into a fermenter and left it on its skins for six hours. After pressing, the wine went into barrel to finish fermentation. The wine aged for three months in neutral barrels and was bottled in February of 2018. We feel that this rose is one of the most unique of its kind we've encountered! With aromas of summer strawberry seeds and melon rind, this rosé is inviting right out of the glass. A very serious palate follows, showing white mushroom caps, crushed strawberry and a touch of umami. This lively quaffer will perform just as well on the front porch as it will on the dinner table.
